Khaled Mashaal visits Jordan as part of that country's efforts to engage with previously shunned Islamists, who have been gaining ground across the region in Arab Spring uprisings • Jordan insists it will not lift ban on Hamas activities • Re-establishing contact with Hamas also positions Jordan to mediate between Israel and the Palestinians.

Jordan was asked nicely to stay out of the 1967 war and opted not to. They ended up getting their hineys kicked in the process. King Hussein needs to be very, VERY careful here. He doesn't need to be giving Mossad a reason to visit Jordan. Even so, it wouldn't suprise me if this Kaled Mashaal got his life cut short while in Jordan.

The king may be talking with them but I sure he remebers this or the same people that tryied to kill his family once already.
That's a what I'm meanin' Gray beard. Jordan getting into it cost them East Jerusalem and the West Bank. Of course it's only open to those who discuss history to speculate how far Israel would have gone had Jordan stayed out of it. But they did not, and now King Hussein perhaps is wiser than those leaders of surrounding nations.

I thought it was a good idea. Israel & Palestine R going 2 need an arbitrator. Their has been so much bloodshed on both sides that U Must have a middle Man just 2 get either side 2 the table.
I think we're a little past that now, Phyllis. Meshaal of Hamas and Abbas of Fatah have signed a peace agreement, and Meshaal says it's to "put forth a united front against Israel." And Iran sent 15,000 troops to Syria, Hezbollah vows to stay out of any fight, and Iran won't back off of their nuclear ambitions. I forsee dark days ahead, made dark by the smoke of battle.
Well, Before everything gets out of hand. Hezbollah & Hamas better be put on notice that is nothing 2 play with. Hezbollah & Hamas don't want Israel 2 bring out their big guns. If that happens, that will be the end of both those groups.
